The Nissan Canada Foundation is very pleased to be able to offer assistance to the many organizations listed below, which are devoted to meeting the needs of seniors across Canada.
It gives us great satisfaction to know that with our vehicles there to support their work, these agencies have one less worry as they go about caring for seniors in their communities.
Mobility is an important issue for seniors, and although these vehicles help, we also recognize that the true heroes in this story are the hundreds of volunteers; who give of their own time to help shop for daily necessities or deliver meals.
But food isn’t the only thing these volunteers deliver. The meals they deliver may nourish the body, but their mere presence is sometimes a rare opportunity for conversation; which breaks the pattern of isolation and nourishes the soul.
Words can not express the pride we feel knowing our vehicles have helped them provide over 4 million meals annually. This represents 60 million meals, in the last fifteen years.
